We took the van to Gwynedd for a late summer treat
What a beautiful spot – mountains, rivers, beaches, sunsets and a few wildflowers to add to my list! We took Ethel the campervan for a few nights to a great little campsite opposite Portmeirion across the river estuary in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

Being September I’d ticked off a lot of wildflowers over the summer, but there were still a few treats in store! Plus lots of wild views!

The picture at the very top of the page is of our van parked up at Barmouth beach, palm trees and all! This was our second trip of the year to Wales. We had been to Fishguard in June which I haven’t written up, because it was so full of wildflowers that I didn’t know where to start! Highlights of that trip included Common Lousewort, Pedicularis sylvatica spotted by Mike which is new to me, plus dolphin and puffin spotting boat trips.
