Litlington Flower Festival
June 20, 2015 by
I’ve just come back from Litlington Flower Festival
Litlington is a small village down the road from where we live in Seaford, Sussex. This year they are running a flower festival over four days in aid of church upkeep and repairs. I may not be religious but I do love flowers and the opportunity for tea and cake!
The churchyard was full of oxeye daisies
Beautiful seasonal flowers
Co-incidentally British Flowers Week has just come to an end! What could be more British than this?
This naturalistic display representing our local river, the Cuckmere, was particularly imaginitive with wildflowers and buttercups
Seasonal flowers – peonies and delphiniums
Mike had a piece of fruit cake which he polished off before I could get a picture of it
There was a really well stocked plant stall, flowers for sale and representation from our local brewery too
There is still time to visit! The festival continues on Sunday 21st June and Monday 22nd June 10am – 5.30pm.
