Crow garlic or wild onion
Allium vineale is commonly known as Crow garlic or Wild onion. This flower is not something I see a lot of around here, apart from in gardens, but I did spot some in Kent when I visited the north coast there. They seemed to like the coast.
Wild onion flowers grow to about a metre tall and have a spherical ball of tiny purple flowers in the summer. The long white spathe is particularly noticeable.
