Sussex wildflowers | Seaford

I love walking near my house and there are various places I can go without even getting in the car.

One of my favourite places to walk is Seaford Head, a big cliff overlooking the sea, at the start of the Seven Sisters, part of the South Downs national park.

Seaford Head

Here are some flowers I have found there:
Stellaria holostea, greater stitchwort

Bellis perennis, daisy

Veronica chamaedrys, speedwell

Silene vulgaris, bladder campion

Armeria maritima, thrift, sea pink

Elsewhere in Seaford, Ranunculus ficaria, lesser celandine grows near a pond in our road.
